As Alpha grows throughout the
country, we find new links to the communities where
we do business. Our company has the privilege to be able
to engage in activities that support our employees
and their families, where they all live, work and play. Alpha
Charitable Foundation gets a huge return on investment —
seeing young lives change — when we impact vital
neighborhood services and education programs. A matching
gift program continues to benefit organizations such as the
American Heart Association and the American Cancer Society.
One
of the highlights of the Alpha Charitable Foundation is its
ability to assist employees’ families with personal
success. Each academic year, Alpha Packaging awards scholarships
to selected teens pursuing higher education. Students currently
receiving scholarships from Alpha are attending the following
schools:
- Harper College
- Illinois State University
- Maryville University
- Southeast Missouri State
- Southwestern Illinois College
- St. Charles Community College
- St. Louis University

Story, Spring 2007
It’s that time of year again, when
young people start to spend a majority of their time outside
hitting ground balls and catching pop-flies in the hot summer sun. Alpha
Packaging proudly sponsors Little League teams each year. The League, like
most recreational sports, can be a great learning experience for children
of all ages, and teaches important life lessons in teamwork,
strategy, responsibility and self-discipline. That, and the social aspect
of playing with friends and fellow students can be great fun!
This year, we’re proud to sponsor the Panthers baseball
club, coached by Joe Lafata, Mold Shop Supervisor, from our St. Louis
location. In their spring and fall seasons, the Panthers went 10-2 and
placed first in their division. As well, they were crowned the St. Peters
Super Series Champions for ages 9 & under. This team “is on
the prowl,” and
everybody looks forward to another great season in 2007. |
