Alpha Packaging has added several new lines of polyethylene terephthalate (PET) narrow-neck oblong bottles to its stock packaging lines for the personal care industry. The new oblongs include PET Drug Oblongs in 2-ounce and 6-ounce sizes, and a 16-ounce/500ml narrow-neck PET Oblong.

Alpha’s line of Drug Oblongs features a sloped shoulder and straight sides. A large, flat label panel area provides ample space for product information or branding. The 2-ounce size has a 20mm neck with a special finish that accepts both a 20-400 and 20-410 closure. The 6-ounce style features a 24-400 neck finish. In addition to these available sizes, Alpha is developing a 4-ounce style with a 24-400 neck, and will also work with customers who are interested in developing additional sizes using Alpha’s extensive library of PET preforms.

The 500ml PET Oblong features a different shoulder style that is more rounded at the top and sides. This bottle has a 28-400 neck finish, and is currently stocked in clear. Alpha can quote costs for developing additional sizes of this narrow-neck oblong for customers who are interested in a full line of sizes.

The three new PET Oblongs are all in-stock and ready for purchase orders; samples may be ordered by visiting www.alphap.com and clicking on “Request a Sample.” Clear and amber bottles are available with a $500 minimum purchase; standard colors of dark green, white and cobalt blue are available for orders of 10,000 pieces or more. Custom colors are also available with very short lead times.
