Alpha Packaging has introduced the Rio Fluted Round, a 16-ounce polyethylene terephthalate bottle (PET) that is ideal for flavorings, sauces, condiments, vinegar and other food products. The bottle is clear like glass, but offers the shatter-resistance, recyclability and weight advantage of the PET resin.

Alpha used existing preforms to build the new bottle, which features a flat, slightly indented label panel area beneath the fluted shoulder area. The tooling was developed in-house by Alpha's Design and Engineering team. The 16-ounce bottle is available with either a 28-400 or 28-410 neck finish.
