ST. LOUIS, Mo. – Alpha Packaging walked away
from the National Association of Container Distributors
(NACD) conference last week with an Award of Excellence,
one of the top honors awarded by the NACD.
The award is a result of the high marks Alpha received
from the NACD in areas such as leadership, communication,
product and support staff, and marketing.
"Alpha is a visionary, stays knowledgeable about
industry trends and clearly understands its role as
a packaging supplier,” says Chris Barry, NACD
Communications Manager. “Its strong management
team strives for leadership in the industry, is accessible
and maintains meaningful communication with all its
constituents.”
Barry also credits Alpha for its prompt response time
to sample requests and its well-trained and helpful
customer service staff.
The recognition follows other prestigious packaging
industry awards including HVL’s Top Packaging Supplier and
Berlin Packaging’s Plastic Supplier of the Year and overall
Supplier of the Year awards.
Alpha President and CEO Dave Spence gives thanks
to the unified effort Alpha employees at all levels make each day.
“What these awards show is that other people recognize all
the hard work and dedication of everyone at Alpha,” says Spence.
“It just goes to show you that persistence and coordinated
effort by everyone is a winning formula.”
The award follows Alpha’s recent equity
partnership with Stonebridge Partners, a private investment firm.
The relationship will provide substantial capital investment dollars
to fuel Alpha’s continued growth in the plastic packaging
marketplace.
In each of the past six years, Alpha has sustained
double-digit sales increases, and concluded 2004 with
$47 million in sales, a 30% increase over 2003 sales
figures. Alpha Packaging is among the top 30 largest
blow molders of plastic bottles and jars in North America.
