Alpha Packaging Creates New Sales Position To Capitalize On
Growth Opportunities.
Jack Baily brings national sales experience to leading plastic packaging company.
ST. LOUIS, MO — 6/12/06

Effective June 5, 2006, Jack Baily has joined Alpha Packaging as its Vice President of Sales, a new position at the fast-growing manufacturer of plastic bottles and jars. Baily will be responsible for business development for all of Alpha’s packaging lines, with a special focus on growth opportunities for Alpha’s personal care packaging.

Baily is already very familiar with Alpha’s primary customer base of rigid packaging distributors. As National Sales Manager for Seaquist Perfect Dispensing, Baily formed relationships with many of the leading U.S. distributors, and served on the National Association of Container Distributor’s (NACD) Advisory Council for the past three years.

Prior to his National Sales Manager role, Baily spent five years as Seaquist’s Distributor Program Manager. During his tenure at Seaquist, Baily helped the manufacturer of pumps and sprayers win the NACD Supplier of the Year Award in 1999 and 2004, and also helped it earn the 2005 Supplier of the Year Award from TricorBraun, the nation’s largest packaging distributor.

“I have a good understanding of the distributor market,” Baily says, “and I’m really looking forward to getting out into the field to identify key growth prospects. Alpha has so much potential to grow in new markets, and I’m excited to seize some of these opportunities and watch them come to fruition.”

Dave Spence, Alpha’s President and Chief Executive Officer, says Baily is perfect for the new sales role because he already knows what packaging customers demand from their suppliers, and is able to address those needs. “Jack knows how to focus on the customer, and pay attention to the trends and opportunities in the market,” he says. “As a company, we are able to bring new products and services to market very quickly, and Jack can help us identify the best opportunities for continued growth.”

In addition to the NACD Advisory Council, Baily is a member of several professional groups focused on the aerosol industry. He will split his time between Alpha’s St. Louis headquarters and an office in Chicago.

Alpha Packaging is a manufacturer of high density polyethylene (HDPE), polyethylene terephthalate (PET) and polylactide (PLA) bottles and jars for the nutritional, pharmaceutical, personal care and niche food & beverage markets. In addition to manufacturing, Alpha Packaging has tool-making capabilities and offers in-house design on CAD/CAM systems, serving as a strategic industrial design partner for customers in a variety of industries.
