Alpha Packaging Promotes Executives to Maintain Aggressive Growth Plans.
ST. LOUIS, MO — 6/21/05

Dan Creston Gary Seeman Mike DeFazio

Alpha Packaging, a leading manufacturer of plastic bottles and jars for the nutritional supplement, pharmaceutical, personal care, and niche food and beverage industries, announced a series of management team promotions including:

  • Dan Creston, to Chief Operating Officer
  • Mike DeFazio, to Vice President — Operations
  • Gary Seeman, to Chief Financial Officer

Dan Creston joined Alpha in 1987, shortly after it was purchased by its current President and Chief Executive Officer, Dave Spence. Creston has served as Alpha's Executive Vice President for the past six years, and has been responsible for operations at the St. Louis manufacturing plant. In his new position, Creston will focus primarily on the overall sales and marketing efforts for the fast-growing company.

Gary Seeman has been promoted to Chief Financial Officer, and has moved to Alpha's St. Louis headquarters. Seeman served as Operations Manager of Alpha's plant in Salt Lake City, Utah, since it opened in July of last year. Seeman has 16 years experience in the plastics industry, including roles in finance, accounting, budgeting and sales forecasting for rigid packaging manufacturers. Seeman has been working closely with Alpha since 2001.

As Vice President — Operations, Mike DeFazio will oversee the production and manufacturing at all three Alpha plants located in Brooklyn, Salt Lake City and St. Louis. Engineering and purchasing will also fall under DeFazio's responsibility.

The promotions are due in part to Alpha's recent financial partnership with Stonebridge Partners, a private equity firm of White Plains, N.Y. With the new financial support, Alpha will be growing at an accelerated pace into new markets and technologies. Alpha's President and CEO, Dave Spence, says the consolidation of key members at the St. Louis headquarters will facilitate its expansion in the marketplace.

"Alpha's management team is committed to the continued growth that we have worked so hard to achieve," Spence says. "By recognizing our key members and putting them in positions of increased responsibility, we can maintain our aggressive growth plans in the packaging industry."
