In
response to the growing demand for small- and mid-sized
personal care packaging, Alpha has introduced two new
sizes of its popular polyethylene terephthalate (PET)
Boston Rounds.
The 100ml Boston Round features a 24-400 neck and a
traditional slim profile. The 100ml bottles fits right
between Alpha’s 2-ounce (60ml) and 4-ounce (125ml)
sizes. It is small enough to comply with the Transportation
Services Administration’s (TSA’s) maximum
volume for liquids in carry-on baggage for domestic
air travel (capped at 100ml), but also two- to three
times larger than most amenity-size bottles.
Alpha’s new 6-ounce Squat Boston Rounds feature
a wider profile and base than Traditional Boston Rounds,
and give packagers a popular size that fits between
Alpha’s 4-ounce and 8-ounce Squat sizes. The 6-ounce
Squat Boston Round will be offered in three neck finishes
– 24-400, 24-410 and 24-415 – to accommodate
different styles of closures, pumps and sprayers. The
wider base makes the Squat style ideally suited for
pump dispensers.
Alpha manufactures more than 30 styles
of Traditional and Squat Boston Rounds at four locations
across the United States. Samples of the new bottles
are available at www.alphap.com.
The new styles will be stocked in clear, amber and cobalt,
and additional colors – including custom colors
– are available with very short lead times.
