Alpha Packaging Reorganizes Employees to Consolidate Quality and Purchasing Departments in St. Louis.
ST. LOUIS, MO — 6/21/05

Shane Jordan Cory Robinson
Ramona Gant Kelly Dwyer

Alpha Packaging, a leading manufacturer of plastic bottles and jars for the nutritional supplement, pharmaceutical, personal care, and niche food and beverage industries, announced a series of promotions and new hires including:

  • Shane Jordan, to Corporate Quality Assurance Manager
  • Cory Robinson, to Corporate Quality Control Manager
  • Ramona Gant, to Purchasing/Inventory Control Coordinato
  • Kelly Dwyer, to Controller

Formerly Quality Control Manager of Alpha's St. Louis facility, Shane Jordan will be taking on the position of Corporate Quality Assurance Manager, focusing on external customer needs and requirements. Jordan will be customers' contact for quality-related documentation, including quality audit paperwork and Drug Master File submission. In addition, Jordan will spend his time with the Sales and Engineering Groups helping to define new product development.

Cory Robinson has moved from his position of Quality Control Manager of the New York plant to Corporate Quality Control Manager in St. Louis. In his new position, Robinson will focus on the internal day-to-day activities of the company and continue to extend shop floor "best practices" throughout the company at all three locations.

Customer Service Lead at Alpha since 2002, Ramona Gant has been promoted to Purchasing/Inventory Control Coordinator. Her new responsibilities include the purchasing of raw materials, managing outside suppliers and day-to-day inventory control duties.

In addition to these promotions, Alpha recently hired Kelly Dwyer as a Controller. Previous to this position, Dwyer accumulated 17 years experience as a Controller at two other manufacturing companies. In her new position at Alpha she will oversee the accounting department as well as other accounting tasks and provide financial statements to executive management and financial institutions.

The promotions are due in part to Alpha's recent financial partnership with Stonebridge Partners, a private equity firm of White Plains, N.Y. With the new financial support, Alpha will be growing at an accelerated pace into new markets and technologies. Alpha's President and CEO, Dave Spence, says the consolidation of key members at the St. Louis headquarters will facilitate its expansion in the marketplace.
