As a result of increasing
sales and a recent financial partnership that is helping
the company to grow at an accelerated pace, Alpha Packaging
recently promoted two employees to handle its growing
account base.
After successfully expanding many of Alpha's newer
accounts, Sean Sapienza has been promoted from Inside Sales to Territory
Sales for St. Louis and surrounding areas. Initially hired as a
Customer Service Representative in 2001, Sapienza's new position
was created so he could expand Alpha's existing customer base in
St. Louis and in surrounding areas. In his new position, Sapienza
will handle the day-to-day account responsibilities for all the
core accounts in his assigned sales region which includes Memphis,
Tenn., and all of Missouri except Kansas City.
Hired in 2001 as a Warehouse Coordinator, Tim
Yancey was promoted to Logistic Coordinator in 2004 where he was
responsible for outgoing shipments. In this role, Yancey was effective
in reducing costs and overhead. With his strong knowledge of Alpha's
product line, Yancey was recently promoted to Inside Sales. In his
new position, Yancey will handle customer inquiries and take charge
of the majority of the accounts recently handled by Sapienza.
The promotions are due in part to Alpha's recent
financial partnership with Stonebridge Partners, a private equity
firm of White Plains, N.Y. With the new financial support, Alpha
will be growing at an accelerated pace into new markets and technologies.
In each of the past six years, Alpha has sustained
double-digit sales increases, and concluded 2004 with $47 million
in sales, a 30% increase over 2003 sales figures. Alpha Packaging
is among the top 30 largest blow molders of plastic bottles and
jars in North America.
