Alpha Packaging, a leading manufacturer
of plastic bottles and jars for the nutritional supplement,
pharmaceutical and personal care industries, announced
Gary Seeman and Ed Schaffer have joined its team as
General Manager and Operations Manager, respectively,
of Alpha's new plant in Salt Lake City.
Seeman comes to Alpha with 15 years experience in the
plastics industry, including roles in finance, accounting,
budgeting and sales forecasting for rigid packaging
manufacturers. Seeman has been working closely with
Alpha for over two years, involved with finance and
accounting for Alpha's Brooklyn plant. "The
timing couldn't be better for Alpha's expansion into
the western United States," Seeman says.
Schaffer
has 24 years in the plastics industry, including experience
with high-density polyethylene (HDPE), low-density
polyethylene (LDPE) and polyethylene terephthalate
(PET) molding operations. He most recently served as
Operations Manager of two PET manufacturing plants
in the Northeast and Southeast. "It's an exciting opportunity
to be involved with a new plant from the ground up,"
Schaffer says, "especially a company so
committed to bringing new products and technologies
to market on a regular basis."
The new plant will
give Alpha an additional 80,000 square feet of manufacturing
and warehouse space to serve customers in western
North America. Alpha plans to be in production by July
15, 2004, and will produce both stock and custom HDPE
and PET packaging at the new plant.
In addition to
manufacturing, Alpha Packaging has tool-making capabilities,
from unit body cavity molds to complete high-cavity
production tooling, and offers in-house design on
CAD/CAM systems. |
